47 pessoas com mais de oitenta anos são vistas aqui repetindo as poses dos antigos retratos, em suas residências, na pequena cidade de Boa Nova e no povoado do Valentim, no Sudoeste Baiano.
As fotografias vernaculares, que alguns desses idosos trouxeram dos seus álbuns e gavetas para serem revisitadas, demarcam um outro momento na história da imagem, quando o uso da fotografia servia prioritariamente de suporte à memória.
A releitura dessas imagens perfaz o caminho, junto com estes idosos, que a própria fotografia percorreu.
Estruturado, inicialmente, para ser um diálogo entre o envelhecimento e o valor humano na sociedade, após produzido, este ensaio passou a estabelecer um recuo no tempo, para uma épcoa que se exigia um tipo diferenciado de contemplação, quando comparado ao atual prevalecimeto do acúmulo e da fugacidade da imagem.

47 people over eighty years old are seen here repeating the poses of the old portraits, in their residences, in the small town of Boa Nova and in the village of Valentim, in the Southwest of Bahia.
The vernacular photographs, which some of these elderly people brought from their albums and drawers to be revisited, demarcate another moment in the history of the image, when the use of photography served primarily to support memory.
The re-reading of these images is the way, together with these elderly people, that the photograph itself has covered. Initially structured to be a dialogue between aging and human value in society, after production, this essay began to establish a retreat in time for an era that required a different kind of contemplation when compared to the current prevalence of accumulation and the fugacity of the image.
